The preview for the upcoming limited series “Class of ’09” has been released by FX. This suspenseful thriller revolves around a group of FBI agents who must confront the emergence of artificial intelligence within the US government. Starring Kate Mara and Brian Tyree Henry, the show comprises eight episodes and will debut on Hulu on May 10.
The trailer commences with the FBI class reciting an oath together, committing themselves to the pursuit of truth and knowledge. However, a disquieting atmosphere takes hold as some individuals start to express apprehension about the bureau’s progress.
As the characters get increasingly involved in missions filled with classic FBI elements, such as rooms packed with monitors displaying the same image and laser-filled rooms, the stakes get higher. Gunfights, swarms of agents descending on a house, and erratic driving also contribute to the intensity.
According to the official FX synopsis, the series delves into the nature of justice, humanity, and the choices we make that shape our lives and legacy. It spans multiple decades and is told across interweaving timelines.
In some scenes, Poet (played by Mara), an undercover agent, is seen sporting a dark-colored contact lens in one eye, hinting at the use of some form of technological device. Meanwhile, Tayo (played by Henry) addresses a room full of government agents, informing them of changes he has implemented within the bureau.
“Class of ’09” is created and executive produced by Tom Rob Smith. The cast also features Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Jon Jon Briones, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman, and Rosalind Eleazar.
