Prime Video has unveiled a first look at their brand-new psychological thriller series, Dead Ringers. The limited series has six parts which will premiere on the streaming service worldwide on April 21.
Dead Ringers, a modern adaptation of David Cronenberg’s 1988 suspense film starring Jeremy Irons, will star Rachel Weisz in the dual lead roles of identical twins Elliot and Beverly Mantle. The series also stars Britne Oldford, Poppy Liu, Michael Chernus, Jennifer Ehle, and Emily Meade.
Filmmaker Sean Durkin directed the first two episodes and co-directed the last episode of the series. Durkin also serves as an executive producer. Karyn Kusama, Karena Evans, and Lauren Wolkstein are other members of the directing team.
Alice Birch, Rachel Weisz, Stacy O’Neil, Sue Naegle, Sean Durkin, Ali Krug, Erica Kay, Anne Carey, James G. Robinson, David Robinson, and Barbara Wall are executive producers for Dead Ringers. Amazon Studios and Annapurna Television produce.
