Lifetime has greenlit another true crime movie, featuring Sarah Drew as the lead. “How She Caught a Killer” follows rookie detective Linda Murphy, who joins forces with an FBI agent to go undercover and apprehend a serial killer targeting sex workers. Delilah Hamlin also stars as the killer’s first victim. Inspired by a real story, the movie premieres on August 19. Produced by Suspense Productions and Tiny Riot, the film is executive produced by Tim Johnson, Stacy Mandelberg, Jason Egenberg, and Sarah Drew herself, who has an overall deal with Lifetime. Robin Hays directs the film, written by Yuri Baranovsky and Angela Gulner. Sarah Drew has previously appeared in various Lifetime movies. She is represented by Innovative Artists, Vault Entertainment, and Yorn Levine.
