Apple Original Films has released the teaser trailer for Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated film, “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The movie will have its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20 and will be exclusively released in theaters worldwide through a partnership with Paramount Pictures. It will have a limited release on October 6, followed by a wide release on October 20, before making its global debut on Apple TV+.
“Killers of the Flower Moon” is based on a true story set at the turn of the 20th century when the Osage Nation experienced newfound wealth through oil. However, their riches attracted opportunistic individuals who exploited and stole their money, eventually resorting to murder. The film follows the unlikely love story of Ernest Burkhart (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (played by Lily Gladstone) while unraveling a tale of betrayal in the American West. The cast also includes Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons. Directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Eric Roth and Scorsese, the screenplay is based on David Grann’s bestselling book.
