Paramount+ has acquired the YA romance film “Love in Taipei” (formerly known as “Loveboat, Taipei”), based on the bestselling novel by Abigail Hing Wen. Directed by Arvin Chen, the movie features Ashley Liao, Ross Butler, Nico Hiraga, and Chelsea Zhang. It will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada this summer, with release dates in other countries yet to be announced. The story follows Ever Wong, an American teenager whose summer in Taipei turns into a romantic adventure. The film was shot on location in Taipei and is produced by Ace Entertainment. Lionsgate facilitated the global sale of the film adaptation to Paramount+.
