Paramount+ has recently announced that they have acquired the rights to the young adult romance film Love in Taipei (previously known as Loveboat, Taipei), which is based on Abigail Hing Wen’s bestselling novel of the same name, as featured in The New York Times.
Directed by Arvin Chen (known for Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?), the film features a talented cast including Ashley Liao (Physical), Ross Butler (seen in Shazam! Fury of the Gods), Nico Hiraga (known for Booksmart), and Chelsea Zhang (from Titans). It is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ during the upcoming summer season in the United States and Canada. The exact release date has not yet been revealed. Additionally, the film will be available on Paramount+ in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and South Korea. The distribution of the film will be handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution, with plans to announce additional territories in the future.
