Paramount+ is set to premiere the five-part docuseries “PAINKILLER: THE TYLENOL MURDERS” on October 10, 2023, the 41st anniversary of the first victim’s death. The series explores the mysterious and tragic deaths of seven people, mostly in and around Chicago, in 1982, all linked by tainted Tylenol capsules laced with cyanide. It delves into the chaotic time of the investigation, focusing on a prime suspect, James Lewis, who remained at large for over 40 years. The docuseries also examines Lewis’s connection to other crimes, raising questions about whether DNA evidence could finally solve the case. “PAINKILLER” is produced by WBBM Films/CBS Chicago for See It Now Studios, with Jeff Harris and Susan Zirinsky as executive producers.
