Netflix expands its documentary collection with Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food, based on the findings detailed in the book Poisoned: The True Story of the Deadly E. Coli Outbreak That Changed the Way Americans Eat. The film, directed by Stephanie Soechtig, examines the food industry and is set to be released in 2023. Jeff Benedict serves as executive producer, and the project features a talented filmmaking team from Campfire Studios. The documentary adds to Soechtig’s repertoire of impactful films, including Tapped, GMO OMG, and Knock Down the House. Cinematographer Rod Hassler and composer Justin Melland contribute their skills to the project.
