The film takes viewers back to 1982 when George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, still teenagers and best friends, embarked on a mission to conquer the world as Wham! In just four years, they achieved unprecedented success, dominating the global charts with their timeless and classic pop songs. Through personal archives, interviews, and their own words, the documentary showcases the incredible journey of Wham! and the impact they had with hits like “Club Tropicana,” “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” “Freedom,” “I’m Your Man,” and, of course, “Last Christmas.”
The film delves into the lives of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, exploring their rise as a pop phenomenon. It also follows the recent posthumous induction of George Michael into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, acknowledging his extraordinary talent as a songwriter, vocalist, and producer. George Michael passed away in 2016 at the age of 53 due to heart and liver disease.
