Disney+ has released a “locker reveal” clip for their upcoming fiction series, American Born Chinese. It is a series adaptation of the genre-hopping graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang. You can catch it this spring on the streaming service.
American Born Chinese follows Jin Wang, a typical teenager reconciling his family life with his high school social life. Jin accidentally becomes involved in a conflict between Chinese mythological gods when he meets a new student on the first day of the school year. It stars Ben Wang, Yeo Yann Yann, Chin Han, Ke Huy Quan, Jimmy Liu, Sydney Taylor, Daniel Wu, and Michelle Yeoh.
Emmy(R) Award-winning writer/producer Kelvin Yu serves as executive producer and showrunner. The director Destin Daniel Cretton, Melvin Mar and Jake Kasdan, Erin O’Malley, Asher Goldstein, and Gene Luen Yang serve as executive producers for the series.
