Netflix has announced that Amy Schumer’s latest stand-up special, titled “Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact,” will premiere on June 13. This self-directed show marks Schumer’s third special on Netflix, following “The Leather Special” in 2017 and “Growing” in 2019. The title “Emergency Contact” is a nod to a joke Schumer made during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, referencing the awkwardness of having intimate moments with one’s spouse.
In addition to her stand-up specials, Schumer has been active in various projects. She hosted the Netflix special “Amy Schumer Presents Parental Advisory” in 2022, featuring guest comedians like Chris DiStefano and Rachel Feinstein. She has also appeared in the Hulu series “Life & Beth” and made a guest appearance as herself in “Only Murders in the Building.” Schumer co-hosted the 2022 Oscars and brought back her sketch comedy show “Inside Amy Schumer” for an additional season.
“Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact” was filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, capturing Schumer’s humorous and candid performance that fans can look forward to experiencing on Netflix.
