FX has released the key art for their upcoming series adaptation of Charles Dickens’ masterpiece, Great Expectations. The series will tell the story in Steven Knight’s style and vision. The first two episodes of the six-part FX and BBC series will debut on Hulu in the United States on Sunday, March 26. Also, BBC will broadcast the series in the UK. In other countries, it will eventually be streamable on Disney+ under the Star label and on Star+ in Latin America.
Great Expectations centers on Pip, an orphan who yearns for a better lot in life. However, a twist of fate and the nefarious schemes of the enigmatic and eccentric Miss Havisham reveal to him a world of grim possibilities.
The series stars Fionn Whitehead, Olivia Colman, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Trystan Gravelle, Laurie Ogden, Rudi Dharmalingam, Tom Sweet, Chloe Lea, and Matt Berry.
Along with Tom Hardy, Ridley Scott, Dean Baker, David W. Zucker, and Kate Crowe, Knight serves as both a writer and an executive producer for the series. Directors include Samira Radsi and Brady Hood. The BBC, Scott Free, Hardy Son & Baker, and FX Productions collaborate to bring you Great Expectations.

Great Expectations is the coming-of-age story of "Pip," an orphan who yearns for a greater lot in life, until a twist of fate and the evil machinations of the mysterious and eccentric "Miss Havisham" shows him a dark world of possibilities. Under the great expectations placed upon him, Pip will have to work out the true cost of this new world and whether it will truly make him the man he wishes to be. A damning critique of the class system, Dickens' novel was published in 1861 after first releasing it in a series of weekly chapters beginning in December 1860.
