TBS will air a new competition series called “I Survived Bear Grylls” on Thursday, May 18th at 9:00 pm ET/PT. This show is a unique combination of survival and game show genres, and it will feature eight stand-alone episodes. Hosted by the famous survivalist Bear Grylls and comedian Jordan Conley, each episode will showcase new players who will face specially designed challenges that push Bear’s most legendary adventures to the limit.
Instead of putting himself in harm’s way to teach survival skills, Bear Grylls is creating wilderness-simulated challenges that will test the contestants’ intelligence, physical abilities, and adaptability. These challenges may include consuming unappetizing survival food. At the end of each episode, the final contestant standing will receive a cash prize and the title “I Survived Bear Grylls.”
This show is an opportunity for inexperienced survivors to demonstrate their abilities under the guidance of one of the world’s most renowned adventurers. Additionally, a few lucky contestants may even have the opportunity to win a seat on the MTN DEW-branded throne.
The production of this series is a collaboration between Bunim/Murray Productions, Kreativ Inc., and The Natural Studios, with MTN DEW serving as an integration and promotional partner.
