HBO Max graced the fans with the official teaser for the awaited drama series Love & Death, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons. Three episodes will premiere Thursday, April 27, followed by one episode weekly through May 25.
This gripping drama depicts the real-life experiences of Candy and Pat Montgomery and Betty and Allan Gore, two church-going couples. They were content with their small-town Texas lifestyle until one of them began having an extramarital affair, leading somebody to pick up an axe.
Alongside Olsen and Plemon, the cast includes Lily Rabe, Patrick Fugit, Krysten Ritter, Tom Pelphrey, Keir Gilchrist, and Elizabeth Marvel.
Lionsgate is a co-producer of Love & Death. Executive producers include David E. Kelley, who is also the series’ writer, through David E. Kelley Productions; Nicole Kidman and Per Saari, through Blossom Films; Lesli Linka Glatter, who is the series’ first four and final episodes’ director; Scott Brown and Megan Creydt, via Texas Monthly; Matthew Tinker; Michael Klick; and Helen Verno. “Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs” and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly (“Love & Death in Silicon Prairie,” Part I & II) are the inspirations for the project.
