AMC Networks revealed the official trailer for their upcoming series Lucky Hank. The series premieres on Sunday, March 19, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on BBC AMERICA, IFC, and SundanceTV, joining AMC and AMC+.
William Henry “Hank” Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely chair of the English department of a severely underfunded college in a working-class American town, tells the story of his mid-life crisis in Lucky Hank in the first person. The story is set in Railton College and centers on Hank.
Lucky Hank is an adaptation of the novel “Straight Man” by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo. Along with Odenkirk, Peter Farrelly, who also acts as the show’s director, Mark Johnson, Russo, Naomi Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero, Jessica Held, the showrunners Aaron Zelman and Paul Lieberstein also serve as executive producers. AMC Studios produces the series with partners Sony Pictures’ Television TriStar TV and Johnson’s Gran Via.
The series stars Bob Odenkirk and Mireille Enos. Joining them are Sara Amini, Diedrich Bader, Suzanne Cryer, Olivia Scott Welch, and Cedric Yarbrough as series regulars. Also, the guest stars include Alvina August, Tom Bower, Shannon DeVido, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lilah Fitzgerald, Jackson Kelly, Arthur Keng, Kyle Maclachlan, Oscar Nuñez, and more.

Lucky Hank is a mid-life crisis tale set at Railton College, told in the first person by William Henry “Hank” Devereaux, Jr. (Odenkirk, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad), the unlikely chairman of the English department in a badly underfunded college in a working-class American town. Hank’s discontent is rooted in unresolved issues with his father, a mediocre and entitled student body, and in the fact that his department is more savagely divided than the Balkans. Enos (Hanna, The Killing) stars as Lily Devereaux, the emotionally grounded, unflappable wife of Hank and the Vice Principal of the local high school in rural Pennsylvania where they live. As Hank’s life starts to unravel, Lily begins to question the path she’s on and the choices she’s made.
