Peacock has released a new trailer for the documentary series Menendez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed, which has been eagerly awaited by fans of true crime.
The series explores a unique angle by examining the connection between the world-famous boyband Menudo and the high-profile murder case that dominated cable news in 1989.
While Peacock has previously produced several projects on the Menendez case, including the Snapped episode “Menendez Brothers, Monsters or Victims?”, this documentary series offers a more in-depth look at how the trial and the musicians could be linked.
According to the streaming service, the series reveals a connection between the Menendez brothers and Menudo that supports the brothers’ long-standing allegations against their father, Jose Menendez. Additionally, one former member of the boyband could be instrumental in changing public perception of the case while pursuing justice for himself.
