Apple TV+ has unveiled the official teaser for their upcoming ten-part drama series, Silo. The series is an adaptation of Hugh Howey’s trilogy of dystopian novels of the same name. On Friday, May 5, 2023, two episodes will premiere on Apple TV+, and one new episode will air every Friday through June 30, 2023.
Silo tells the story of the final 10,000 inhabitants of the planet as they live in a mile-deep chamber that shields them from the toxic and dangerous outer world. It stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Emmy nominee Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Critics Choice Award and NAACP winner David Oyelowo, Emmy-nominee Rashida Jones, and Academy Award winner Tim Robbins.
Emmy-nominated screenwriter Graham Yost serves as the creator and showrunner for Silo. Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum directs the first three episodes. Also, serving as executive producers are Yost, Howey, Tyldum and Ferguson, alongside Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and Ingrid Escajeda. AMC Studios produces for Apple TV+.
