Prime Video unveiled the first look at their upcoming science fiction series, The Power. The series is an adaptation of British author Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel of the same name. It premieres on the streaming service this coming March 2023.
The Power is our world, but with a twist. Teenage girls suddenly and without notice develop the ability to electrocute individuals at will. As the power develops from a tingle in teens’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the planet, the series features a cast of fascinating personalities from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe.
The series stars Toni Collette, John Leguizamo, Auli’i Cravalho, Toheeb Jimoh, Josh Charles, Eddie Marsan, Ria Zmitrowicz, Zrinka Cvitešić, Halle Bush, and more. The series is an Amazon Studios and SISTER production, with True Blood’s Raelle Tucker serving as the showrunner.
