Paramount+ treats the audience with a teaser trailer and a premiere date for its upcoming original series Wolf Pack. The show is based on the 2004 Edo Van Belkom novel series, which centers on a boy and a girl in their teenage years who witness the appearance of a supernatural monster during a wildfire in California. The show debuts on the platform on January 26 for subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. The series will premiere on Friday, January 27, 2023, for subscribers in the U.K., Australia, and Latin America.
It’s a spinoff of Teen Wolf. However, although the two programs share a setting, they have distinct tones and themes. Furthermore, the series was developed by Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis. “I did want to do something different, but from Teen Wolf,” Davis says. “With Teen Wolf, one of the first things we did was here’s the traditional werewolf myth, how do we spin it. This, I wanted to go back to more traditional myths.”
The series stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rodrigo Santoro, Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray. Also, the cast ensembles new recurring cast members Bailey Stender, Chase Liefeld, Hollie Bahar, Lanny Joon, Rio Mangini, Stella Smith, Zack Nelson, and James Martinez. Additional casting includes Amy Pietz, Bria Brimmer, John L. Adams, and Sean Philip Glasgow.
Executive producers for Capital Arts include Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, and Karen Gorodetzky, alongside Davis. Christian Taylor, Gellar, and Jason Ensler all serve as executive producers. There are both seasoned actors and newcomers in the show.
